I am an orchid grower, researcher, writer, and photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. My interest in orchids began years ago and gradually became something much larger: a long-term commitment to growing, documenting, and understanding one of the most diverse and fascinating plant families in the world. Much of my work has focused on Pleurothallids and other miniature orchids, especially those adapted to cool or high-elevation conditions.
Over time, that interest grew into a broader effort that brings together cultivation, observation, photography, and natural history. Through khorchid.com and my related projects, I share plants in cultivation, research interests, field-based questions, and the details that make orchid growing and study so rewarding. My approach is rooted in close observation, pattern recognition, and a belief that careful documentation can deepen both horticulture and science.
This site reflects the more personal side of that work: the plants I grow, the ideas I am exploring, and the ongoing process of learning from orchids over time.

I am available for speaking engagements for orchid societies, botanical institutions, and related organizations.
