Pleurothallidinae is a collection of amateur scientific research self-published by Kevin W. Holcomb, a citizen scientist in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.  

This research is primarily centered on identifying, describing, and publishing new pleurothallid species that have been discovered in private collections, nurseries, or botanical gardens outside of the species' country of origin. 

The research presented here meets all the requirements for valid publication of a new species as defined by the International Association for Plant Taxonomy (IAPT) and  the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants .
